The College of Engineering Cherthala, an institution of excellence in the domain of Technical Education, was established under IHRD in the year 2004. The institution is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University initially Kerala Technical University KTU. College of Engineering Cherthala is one of the leading technical institutions in Kerala since its venture in 2004. Hostels:

The college provides spacious, safe, and hygienic hostels for both girls and boys with an intake capacity of 20-40 inmates.

Transport:

The college has a transport facility for day boarding students and has 4 College buses of which 3 buses are used for carrying students from different locations.

Library:

The college management provides a fully air-conditioned library having 15000 volumes including e-journals, global and national Journals, a recent assortment of CDs, a huge assortment of books, periodicals, and reports, etc.

Faculty:

The college has a total of 93 highly qualified and trained faculty members consisting of associate professors and assistant professors. Out of these members, 3 of them are Ph.D. holders, and some of them have more than 25 years of experience. The student-faculty ratio is 1:12. Dr. P Sureshkumar is the principal of the college. 

Training and Placement cell:

Training and Placement Cell functions as a launching platform for qualified candidates to make their dreams a reality. TPC is guided by the placement officer with faculties from all the departments and is enriched by student members. TPC prepares the students to face competitive examinations and interviews through intensive training programs encompassing aptitude tests, group discussions, mock interviews, and basics of behavioral psychology and body language. TPC also assists the students in career planning and employment strategies. It invites reputed companies to the college and organizes campus placement sessions.
